Cardinals use big fourth quarter to pull away from Wolverines

ANN ARBOR, Mich.— The University of Michigan-Dearborn women's basketball team returned to action against the Concordia University Cardinals in a Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference matchup in Ann Arbor, Mich.

After finding themselves down five at the half, the Wolverine offense caught fire in the third quarter shooting over 60 percent from the field, putting them up six over the Cardinals heading into the final frame. Concordia University would respond in the fourth, outscoring UM-Dearborn by 13 points, on its way to a 75-68 victory over the Wolverines.

The loss drops UM-Dearborn to 11-18 overall and 9-11 in the WHAC.

Leading the Wolverines was Ro'Zhane Wells with 19 points, five rebounds, four assists, and four steals. Cydney Williams would add 12 points and seven rebounds, while Mariah Taylor and Siena Smith would both add 11 points.

UM-Dearborn returns to action in the WHAC Tournament Quarterfinals against the second seeded Rochester University Warriors at 6 PM Tuesday night at Garth Pleasant Arena in Rochester Hills, Mich.
