Wolverines topped by Indiana Tech on Senior Day

DEARBORN, Mich.— The University of Michigan-Dearborn women's basketball team returned to action against the Indiana Tech Warriors Saturday afternoon in a Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference matchup on Senior Day.

The Warriors would establish a big lead in the first half, finding themselves up 17 over the Wolverines at the break. The Wolverines would trim the lead to as low as 10, but could not overcome the Indiana Tech lead, falling to the Warriors 85-63.

UM-Dearborn was led by Mariah Taylor with 20 points, while Ro'Zhane Wells would add 12 points and six rebounds. India Grissom and Siena Smith would chip in, both adding eight points for the Wolverines.

Leading the Warriors was the combo of Emma Tuominen with 24 points and 16 rebounds and Erika Foy with 18 points and 20 rebounds, while Kyra Whitaker would add 20 points of her own.

The loss drops UM-Dearborn to 6-16 overall and 4-9 in the WHAC.

The Wolverines return to action against the Madonna University Crusaders at 5:30 PM Wednesday night at Henry Ford College in Dearborn, Mich.
