SOUTHFIELD, Mich.— The University of Michigan-Dearborn women's basketball team returned to action against the Lawrence Tech Blue Devils on Monday night in a Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference matchup in Southfield, Mich.
The Wolverine offense came out firing in the first quarter shooting over 55 percent from the field as they took a 22-point lead into the half. The Blue Devils attempted a late push, but UM-Dearborn would rely on the early lead earning a big conference win over Lawrence Tech.
Four Wolverines finished in double-digits as Mariah Taylor led the way with 16 points, while Ro'Zhane Wells, Cydney Williams, and Maya Barakat all finished with 12 points for UM-Dearborn.
The win improves the Wolverines to 4-14 overall and 2-7 in the WHAC.
UM-Dearborn returns to action against the Cornerstone University Golden Eagles at 5:30 pm Wednesday at Henry Ford College in Dearborn, Mich.
