Wolverines fall to Blue Devils on the road, snaps five-game winning streak

SOUTHFIELD, Mich.— The University of Michigan-Dearborn women's basketball team returned to action against the Lawrence Tech Blue Devils Wednesday night in a Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference matchup in Southfield, Mich.

The Wolverines found themselves facing a seven-point deficit at the half as they looked to claw back going into the third quarter. The Blue Devil defense had other plans, limiting the UM-Dearborn offense to under 30 percent shooting in the second half, handing the Wolverines a 59-47 defeat.

UM-Dearborn was led by the duo of Ro'Zhane Wells (14 points and four rebounds) and Mariah Taylor (13 points and seven rebounds), while Cydney Williams added nine points and six rebounds of her own.

The Blue Devils were led by Kendall Fisher who finished with a game-high 27 points and 11 rebounds for a double-double.

The loss drops the Wolverines to 11-17 overall and 9-10 in the WHAC where they currently sit in the seventh seed.

UM-Dearborn returns to action against the Concordia University Cardinals at 1 PM Saturday afternoon at the Cardinal Fieldhouse in Ann Arbor, Mich.
