Wolverines upset Saints in overtime

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.— The University of Michigan-Dearborn women's basketball team returned to action against the Aquinas College Saints Saturday afternoon in a Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference matchup in Grand Rapids, Mich.

The Wolverines found themselves down eight heading into the fourth quarter and would claw back to force overtime and would hold on for the 73-71 win over the Saints.

UM-Dearborn was led by the trio of Mariah Taylor (game-high 22 points, three rebounds), Cydney Williams (19 points, 10 rebounds), and Ro'Zhane Wells (15 points, four rebounds, seven assists). Maya Barakat would add eight points and 12 rebounds of her own for the Wolverines.

Aquinas College was led by the duo of Marissa Brady and Daz'Sha Day with 21 points and 20 points, respectively.

The win improves UM-Dearborn to 8-15 overall and 6-9 in the WHAC where it currently holds the seventh seed in the standings.

The Wolverines return to action against the Siena Heights University Saints at 3 pm Saturday afternoon at the Siena Heights Fieldhouse in Adrian, Mich.
