Rochester University uses two big quarters to pull away from Wolverines

DEARBORN, Mich.— The University of Michigan-Dearborn women's basketball team returned to action against the Rochester University Warriors Wednesday night in a Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference matchup.

The Wolverine offense started hot jumping out to as many as 12, while leading by nine after the first quarter. However, the Warriors would respond by outscoring UM-Dearborn by 29 points in the second and third quarter on their way to an 86-70 victory over the Wolverines.

Four UM-Dearborn players reached double-digits in scoring led by Mariah Taylor with 18 points and seven rebounds, while Abby Fullerton would add 16 points. Ro'Zhane Wells and Cydney Williams would add 14 and 10, respectively.

Leading Rochester University was the combo of Lauren Wyn and Hannah Reinhold, both with 18 points in the game.

The loss drops the Wolverines to 6-15 overall and 4-8 in the WHAC.

The Wolverines return to action against the Indiana Tech Warriors on Senior Day at 1 pm Saturday afternoon at Henry Ford College in Dearborn, Mich.
