Wolverines Struggle Against UNOH

DEARBORN, Mich. The University of Michigan-Dearborn volleyball team struggled in a four-set match against the University of Northwestern Ohio Racers on Saturday (Sept. 21). The Wolverines won the first set but dropped the final three sets to lose 3-1 to the Racers. UM-Dearborn falls to 10-4 and 2-3 in conference play. 

The Wolverines looked strong in the opening set, hitting .341 as a team. Tondryk had seven kills in 19 swings in the first set. Marisa Fetterley and Abigail Goldobin raced out to a strong start as the duo hit each other above .500. The Wolverines' kill percentage steadily dropped over the final three sets, eventually hitting .043 in the final set. 

Tondryk hit .339 with 25 kills, while Marisa Fetterley was the only other Wolverine with double-digit kills (13). Regan Rose dished out 43 assists and had an astonishing five service aces. Kenzie Mertz led the match with 27 digs, while Evelyn Rummel and Laura Chandler each had 11 digs.
