Mertz & Rose Named WHAC Players of the Week

DEARBORN, Mich. -- University of Michigan-Dearborn volleyball fifth-year seniors Kenzie Mertz (Macomb, Mich. / Dakota High School) and Regan Rose (Decatur, Mich. / Decatur High School) were named Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Players of the Week. The league announced on Monday (Aug. 26). Mertz and Rose were integral parts of the Wolverines 4-0 weekend at the Clarke University Invite. 

Mertz scored Defender of the Week honors after posting the top digs/set in the conference. Mertz recorded games with 32 and 28 digs. Mertz was 69 of 71 in receptions for a .970 percentage. 

Rose currently leads the NAIA in assists/s after handing out 59 and 61 assists in the final two games. Rose was integral to the Wolverine's come-from-behind victory over Mount Marty in a five-set thriller. Rose's efforts landed her on the Clarke University Invite All-Tournament Team. 

The Wolverines head to the CIU Invitational this weekend in Columbia, S.C.
