Men's Basketball Falls to Top-Ranked Davenport

Grand Rapids, MI - The men's basketball team took on the # 1 ranked Davenport University Panthers in Grand Rapids on Wednesday night. Davenport showed why they are the top-ranked Division 2 team in the NAIA winning 97-55. Davenport (22-3, 16-1) was led by Wayne Bradford who went 9 for 10 from the field and scored a game high 21 points. The Panthers had a balanced attack with four players in double digits and shot 54% from the field. Michigan-Dearborn (12-13, 7-10) shot 46% in the first half but committed 24 turnovers in the game leading to 34 points for Davenport.

Sophomore Ali Farhat led Michigan-Dearborn with 18 points while fellow sophomore Jason Penn scored 12 points. The men's basketball team will next host the Siena Heights University Saints on Saturday at 3:00pm.
