The Wolverines Take Full Control of Kuyper College

Dearborn, MI-This past Friday Michigan Dearborn's men's basketball team sent Kuyper College on the road with a 73-81 loss. The Wolverines out shot Kuyper from everywhere on the field and nearly doubled the amount of rebounds. Every individual from Michigan found time on the floor and generated points for the Wolverines. As a team Dearborn shot exactly 50% from behind the arc while shooting 9/10 from the line. Kuyper College had three players score over 8pts as Michigan had five players scoring over 10pts.

Michigan Dearborn busted open the game by scoring first and held Kuyper to scoring minimal points. 5:21 into the game the Wolverines had run the score up to take a 19-4 lead. Nearly two minutes later Kuyper College found themselves within reach closing the gap to 6pts. The closest that Kuyper College came to Michigan Dearborn was three points however, the Wolverines finished the half by going on a strong 7-0 run resulting in a 42-28 halftime score. Michigan had ten more rebounds and shot 4/8 from behind the arc.

Michigan returned with the same momentum and energy they left with at the end of the first half. They continued to hold Kuyper College to minimal points while continuing to add points to their side of the board. 13 mins in the game Gage Throgmorton made a three pointer to give the Wolverines an 18 point lead. Just like in the first half, Michigan found Kuyper closing the gap to try and take the lead. Michigan let Kuyper College come within 6pts but never let them take the lead. Michigan walked away with a 81-73 victory.
