Michigan's Men's Basketball Team Falls to UNOH

Lima, OH- Michigan Dearborn's men's basketball team fell to Northwestern Ohio this past Wednesday night 53-73. Michigan struggled shooting in the first half but turned it around and increased their percentages by nearly 20% in the second. The Wolverines had a higher free throw percentage, and out-rebounded the Racers. Jason Penn led the team with 15pts and 7 rebounds with Gage Thorogmorton also contributing 11pts.

In the beginning of the game, both teams were able to successfully score points, causing the lead to change four times, and it only to be tied once. After eight minutes of play, Jackson (UNOH) put up a shot from behind the arch which had begun the Racers run. Michigan quickly put a stop to the run but could not find a way to keep the Racers from scoring. Two free throws and a jumper made by Cole in the last minute to close the gap for a 23-36 half.

The Wolverines returned from halftime and scored first to try to close the 13 point gap. As time went on both teams were making shots but with 9:17 left in the game Michigan had brought the game to an 8 point difference. A few turnovers and missed shots led the Wolverines to a 53-73 loss over Northwestern Ohio.
