Men's Ice Hockey set to return to Nationals

DEARBORN, Mich. - The University of Michigan-Dearborn men's ice hockey team is set for its third consecutive trip to the ACHA Division I National Tournament, with the Wolverines to begin play this weekend in Columbus, Ohio.

The No. 8 seed Wolverines open play against No. 9 seed University of Colorado-Boulder in the round of 16 with a scheduled start time of 8:30 pm Saturday at the Ice Haus in Columbus.

UM-Dearborn enters play at the national tournament with a record of 25-5-2 after capturing the inaugural Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Tournament on March 4 in Fort Wayne, Ind.

Colorado heads to the ACHA National Tournament with a record of 22-8-1.

There will be a pep rally for the Wolverines, as the UM-Dearborn Department of Athletics & Recreation sends the team off to Columbus. Join the team at the North Entrance of the UM-Dearborn Fieldhouse at 11:15 am Friday. All UM-Dearborn supporters are welcome to attend.

A reception will be held at the team hotel in Columbus prior to the first game. Join the Wolverines from 5 to 6 pm in the Heritage Room, 239, of the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Columbus for snacks and refreshments as the UM-Dearborn community shows its support for the team prior to the first face off.
