Wolverines drop season finale to Rochester

ROCHESTER HILLS, Mich. – The University of Michigan-Dearborn volleyball team closed out the 2018 season in a Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference matchup against Rochester College on Saturday.

After dropping the first, the Wolverines tied it up at one before falling in four sets. The set scores were 25-18, 17-25, 25-17, 25-20 as UM-Dearborn closes out the year with a 5-24 record overall and 2-18 in the WHAC.

The offense was led by Gina Giacomini with 15 kills while Mackenzie Zook added a season-high 12 kills. Daniella Barile and Sabrina Giacomini finished with 23 and 15 assists, respectively.

In their last games with the Wolverines, seniors Caitlyn Carlson and Erin Parrinello led the way with 17 and 14 digs. Katherine Nealy capped off her senior year with four block assists.
