Wolverines fall to Gray Wolves in three

SYLVANIA, Ohio – The University of Michigan-Dearborn volleyball team fell in three sets to Lourdes University (RV) in a Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference matchup Friday in Sylvania, Ohio.

The Wolverines pushed the Gray Wolves to extra points in the first set but the home team escaped and took the match 3-0 to drop UM-Dearborn to 4-15 overall and 1-9 in the WHAC. The set scores were 27-25, 25-18, 25-21.

The Wolverines were led by Bronte Michura with 10 kills and a .276 hitting percentage, while Erin Parrinello and Gina Giacomini each added nine kills.

Daniella Barile finished with 22 assists, while Caitlyn Carlson recorded 18 digs on defense. Michura and Mackenzie Fuleky each added four block assists.

UM-Dearborn continues WHAC play against Madonna University at 1 pm Saturday at the UM-Dearborn Fieldhouse.
