ADRIAN, Mich. – The University of Michigan-Dearborn (6-8-3, 4-4-2) men's soccer team extended its unbeaten streak to six games with a 2-1 victory over Siena Heights (5-9-1, 3-6-1) on Wednesday (Oct. 26).

The Wolverines flustered the Saints early, causing a few wayward tackles leading to early cautions from the referee. Josiah Yoder would capitalize on that early success as he beat the Saints keeper to his right just 21 minutes into the match. The unassisted goal was Yoder's second of the season. However, the Wolverines seemed to be in complete control heading into the locker room, as the Saints would go down to 10 men right before the end of the half.

In the 62nd minute, the Saints looked to equalize as a Dearborn took down a SHU attacker inside the box. However, Elijah Burlak rejected the Mateo Rusca penalty kick and kept the Wolverine lead. Three minutes later, Hassan Jaber scored his second goal of the season as he placed a sublime shot into the lower right corner from the left side of the box.

With a 2-0 lead, the Saints would get one goal back as they were finally able to beat Burlak to the top corner left corner. However, neither team would score in the final 15 minutes leading to the 2-1 victory for the Maize & Blue.
