Wolverines blanked in WHAC season opener by Madonna, 4-0

LIVONIA, Mich.— The University of Michigan-Dearborn men's soccer team opened up the 2022 WHAC portion of its schedule Saturday afternoon on the road against the Madonna University Crusaders.

The Wolverines would find themselves down early as the Madonna offense erupted in the first half. The Crusaders would strike in the opening minute of the contest while adding two more goals before the end of the first half. Madonna University would add an additional goal in the second half, handing UM-Dearborn a 4-0 defeat.

The Wolverines fall to 3-4-1 overall and 0-1-0 in the WHAC. 

UM-Dearborn keeper Elijah Burlak played strong, making seven saves.

The Wolverines return to action against the Aquinas College Saints at 7 pm Wednesday in Grand Rapids, Mich.
