ROCHESTER HILLS, Mich.-- The University of Michigan-Dearborn (5-8-2, 3-4-1) men's soccer team extended its win streak to three games after defeating the Rochester Warriors (5-8-2, 1-5-2) 2-0 on Wednesday (Oct. 19).

The victory moved the Wolverines into sixth place in the WHAC standings.

The Maize & Blue scored their first goal in the 24th minute when Austin Dukes laid off a pass to Andrew Schwartz, who placed it past the Warrior keeper for the 1-0 lead. The Warriors tested the reigning WHAC Defensive Player of the Week, Elijah Burlak. However, the keeper continued his run of form and stopped all three shots on goal in the first half.

The Wolverine defense came out and stimied the Warriors in the second half, limiting them to just four shots, and only one reached the hands of Burlak. This allowed the Wolverines to keep on the attack and get their second goal when Spencer Polgar scored an unassisted goal in the 74th minute to give them the insurance they needed.
