Burlak Earns WHAC Defensive Player of the Week

DEARBORN, Mich. – Elijah Burlak was named Wolverine Hoosier Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week, the league announced on Monday (Oct. 17). This is the first time Burlak has won the award during the 2022 season. 

 

Burlak, a West Bloomfield native, put up back-to-back clean sheets in the Wolverines' 1-0 win over Lawrence Tech and a 3-0 win over Concordia (MI). The sophomore made a total of five saves across the two matches and currently sits in second in the conference in total saves. 

 

Burlak and the Wolverines travel to Rochester Hills, Mich., on Wednesday (Oct. 19) for a conference matchup against Rochester.
