DEARBORN, Mich. – The University of Michigan-Dearborn (3-8-2, 1-4-1) men's soccer team secured their first conference win on an Andrew Schwartz goal in the 86th minute to defeat the Lawrence Tech Blue Devils (2-5-6, 2-2-2) 1-0 on Wednesday (Oct. 12) at Star International Academy.

The Wolverines played a terrific game in their defensive third only allowing three shots on goal in 11 total chances. Elijah Burlak made three crucial second-half saves to preserve the clean sheet, and help the Wolverines hold onto the victory.

In the dying minutes of the second half, Dearborn broke the scoreless deadlock as Christian Cole set up Schwartz for his first goal of the season. With just 4:32 left on the clock the Blue Devils went on the attack to try and find a late equalizer. LTU drew a corner with just 45 seconds on the clock, but the Maize & Blue defended it perfectly and held onto the 1-0 victory.
