Wolverines Lose 4-0 Against Indiana Wesleyan

DEARBORN, Mich. – The University of Michigan-Dearborn (3-3-1) men's soccer team dropped faced off against Indiana Wesleyan (6-1-2) in their final non-conference fixture on Wednesday (Sept 21). IWU came out victorious in a 4-0 final. 

 

The Wolverine defense looked strong in the first 25 minutes, with the Wildcats only testing the hands of Elijah Burlak once. However, in the 31st minute, the Wildcats broke through the Wolverine back-line and sent a shot in on goal. Burlak stopped the first attempt, but the Wildcat attacker slotted home the second chance after the Burlak redirect. UM-D head into the break down 1-0 but could not create scoring chances in the first 45. 

 

The Wildcats, who received votes in this week's top-25 poll, showed why they are a top side in the second half as they poured in three goals against the Wolverines to culminate in the 4-0 finish.
