Kerr named Academic All-American by CoSIDA

DEARBORN, Mich. – For the first time in program history, the University of Michigan-Dearborn baseball team has placed a student-athlete on the College Sports Information Directors of America Academic All-America Team, it was announced Monday.

UM-Dearborn senior catcher Daniel Kerr was named to the 2019 CoSIDA Google Cloud Academic All-America NAIA Baseball Second Team, marking a first for the program.

Kerr is the second UM-Dearborn student-athlete to earn this honor in any sport, joining former men's cross country standout Alex Krasuski, who was named to the team for his sport in 2017.

Kerr closed his time at UM-Dearborn as the program's all-time leader in hitting and with a near-perfect GPA in the highly demanding UM-Dearborn College of Engineering.

In 2019, Kerr has been earned All-WHAC First Team, WHAC Player of the Week, WHAC All-Academic, NAIA Scholar-Athlete, UM-Dearborn Chancellor's Award, and now CoSIDA All-District.
