Kerr named WHAC Player of the Week

NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – For the first time in program history, a member of the University of Michigan-Dearborn baseball team has been named the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Player of the Week, it was announced Monday.

Daniel Kerr led the Wolverines to a pair of wins to open the team's Spring Break trip to Florida over the weekend to earn the honor.

Kerr went 3-for-4 with an RBI against Mount Vernon Nazarene University on Saturday, as the Wolverines rallied back from an early 4-0 deficit picking up a walk-off 6-5 win. Kerr added four hits and six RBIs in a 14-6 win over Judson University on Sunday.

Kerr is batting .474 with 12 RBIs and eight runs scored through his first 10 games dating back to the fall.

After two losses on Monday, the Wolverines are 7-4-1 overall and will return to action at the Warner Invitational on Thursday.
