Wolverines fall to Madonna in opening round of WHAC playoffs

LIVONIA, Mich. – The University of Michigan-Dearborn volleyball team returned to action Wednesday night, traveling to take on the Madonna University Crusaders in the opening round of the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference playoffs in Livonia, Mich.

The Wolverine offense had a hard time getting things going as the Crusaders controlled the first and third sets of a three-set sweep.

Leading the Wolverines was Regan Sliwinski with 10 kills, while Sabrina Giacomini would add 28 assists and Kenzie Mertz recorded 13 digs.

Madonna University was led by Jodie Kelly and Kacie Stoneburner, both recording nine kills.

UM-Dearborn finishes the 2021 season with a record of 9-24 overall.
