Adrian hands Wolverines tough loss at home

DEARBORN, Mich.— The University of Michigan-Dearborn women's hockey team returned to action against the Adrian College Bulldogs at the UM-Dearborn Fieldhouse in Dearborn, Mich.

The Wolverines would find themselves down two after the first period as the Bulldogs connected early on the power play and added another before the break. Adrian College would strike eight more times in the next two periods, handing UM-Dearborn a 10-1 loss.

Riley Vadenheuvel had the lone goal in the game for Wolverines, weaving through the Bulldog defense, before finding the back of the net for the shorthanded tally. Leigh Farquhar and Jordyn Burks were credited with the assists.

Adrian College was led by Leah Williams with two goals and three assists, while Gianna Miranda added a goal and two assists of her own.

Victoria Hann took the loss in goal for UM-Dearborn, making 26 saves in the game.

The Wolverines return to action with a weekend-series against the Penn State University Nittany Lions at 6 PM Saturday and 12 PM Sunday at the UM-Dearborn Fieldhouse in Dearborn, Mich.
