Wolverines drop a pair of games over the weekend

DEARBORN, Mich. – The University of Michigan-Dearborn women's ice hockey team returned to action this past weekend with a pair of road games against Adrian College (10/14) at Arrington Ice Arena in Adrian, Mich. and Michigan State University (10/17) at Munn Ice in East, Lansing, Mich.

On Thursday, the Adrian offense struck early and often as the Wolverines score five times in the first, on its way to a 10-1 win over UM-Dearborn.

Cassidy Waugh provided the lone goal for the Wolverines with an unassisted effort.

The Bulldogs were led by Bria Fewchuk with two goals and two assists.

Victoria Hahn got the start in goal for the Wolverines, making nine saves. Tara Peladeau came in relief, making 32 saves in the game.

On Sunday, UM-Dearborn looked to bounce back against the Spartans, but MSU had other plans, controlling the first period by jumping out to a two goal lead. The Wolverines would bounce back, cutting the lead to one midway through the third. However, the Spartans would add an empty-net goal in the final minute to secure a 6-4 win over UM-Dearborn.

The two losses drops the Wolverines to 1-2-0 on the season.

The Wolverines return to action against the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor at 9pm, Friday Nov. 5th at the Arctic Edge in Canton, Mich.
