Wolverines cruise by the Cougars, 22-3

HOWELL, Mich. – The University of Michigan-Dearborn men's lacrosse team returned to action by taking on the Cleary University Cougars Wednesday night in a Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference matchup at Lake Trust Stadium in Howell, Mich.

The Wolverine offense was firing on all cylinders the entire game, building a big half-time lead on its way to a 22-3 rout of Cleary University.

UM-Dearborn would get goals from eight different players in the contest, led by the performances of Nolan Kelley (7G, 4A), Ryan Savage (4G, 2A), and Braxton Kern (3G, 1A). Joseph Atherall, Brodie Mahmud, and Parker Steindl would all find the back of the net twice, while Quest Bigelow and Connor Logan each added one of their own.

The victory moves the Wolverines to 4-7 overall and 2-2 in the WHAC.

Jack Meyers would get the win, making four saves in the game.

UM-Dearborn returns to action against the Lourdes University Gray Wolves at 12 pm Saturday in Sylvania, Ohio.
