Lourdes builds lead early, hand Wolverines a 10-5 setback

SYLVANIA, Ohio. – The University of Michigan-Dearborn men's lacrosse team returned to action by taking on the Lourdes University Gray Wolves in a Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference matchup in Sylvania, Ohio.

Despite the Wolverines striking first, Lourdes University would score seven unanswered goals and never look back, handing UM-Dearborn a 10-5 defeat.

Leading the way for the Wolverines was Nolan Kelley and Parker Steindl, both finding the back of the net twice, while Quest Bigelow would add another.

The setback drops UM-Dearborn to 4-8 overall and 2-3 in the WHAC.

Jay Rupnow would play strong in the losing effort, making 14 saves in the game.

The Wolverines close out the home portion of the 2022 season with games against Lawrence Tech at 8 PM Wednesday and against Taylor University at 2 PM Saturday for Senior Day, with both games being held at Detroit Country Day.
