No. 9 SCAD tops UM-Dearborn 15-5

SAVANNAH, Ga. – The University of Michigan-Dearborn men's lacrosse team concluded play on its trip to Georgia against host SCAD Savannah Tuesday in Savannah, Ga.

The Wolverines feel behind early and were unable to rally in a 15-5 loss to No. 9 SCAD, dropping UM-Dearborn to 2-3 overall.

Reigning NAIA and WHAC Offensive Player of the Week Ben Phillips scored two goals, finishing his trip with 14 total. Adam Ranck added two goals, while Parker Steindl scored one. Nolan Kelley finished with a team-high two assists.

Jon Chaffee made 22 saves in the loss in net for UM-Dearborn. SCAD controlled the ground balls 37-19, while winning 18 of 23 face offs.

Elliot Fish led SCAD with five goals and two assists.

The Wolverines return home to host Columbia College at 2 pm March 15 at the Detroit Country Day Fieldhouse in Beverly Hills, Mich.
