Phillips' record weekend earns WHAC honor

DEARBORN, Mich. – The University of Michigan-Dearborn men's lacrosse team has won the first two games of its trip to Georgia and senior attackman Ben Phillips picked up a weekly conference award for his performances, it was announced Monday.

Phillips was named the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week for the first time in his career after leading the Wolverines to wins over Point University and St. Andrews University over the weekend.

The Plymouth, Mich., native paced UM-Dearborn with a program record 13 points in a win over Point, including eight goals and five assists. Against SAU, Phillips added four goals for the Wolverines.

UM-Dearborn returns to action against No. 9 SCAD Savannah at 7 pm Tuesday in Savannah, Ga.
