Callaghan named to All-WHAC Second Team

DEARBORN, Mich. – For the first time in his career, University of Michigan-Dearborn men's lacrosse attackman Devon Callaghan was named to the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference All-Second Team, it was announced on Friday.

The native of Bloomfield Hills, Mich. continued to lead the Wolverines offensively during his senior year. In his third year with UM-Dearborn, Callaghan scored 38 goals and added six assists on 124 shots in nine games. Callaghan scored his 100th career goal with the Wolverines earlier this month.

Callaghan's three-year career at UM-Dearborn has been highlighted by his scoring prowess. His 4.22 goals per game is a new career high, as well as his 30.6 shooting percentage. Both totals eclipse last year's numbers, where he scored a career-high of 41 goals in 13 games.

Callaghan's career at UM-Dearborn ended last weekend with 108 goals and 28 assists in 32 games.

Other postseason honors for the Wolverines include Nolan Landis, Ben Phillips, Micah Rinke and Callaghan being named to the WHAC All-Academic Team, while Liam Turner was named to the WHAC Champions of Character Team.
