Fighting Bees rally to top Wolverines 14-11

BEVERLY HILLS, Mich. – The University of Michigan-Dearborn men's lacrosse team returned to action against St. Ambrose University Friday at the Detroit Country Day Fieldhouse in Beverly Hills, Mich.

The Wolverines jumped out to an 8-2 lead midway through the second quarter, but the Fighting Bees rallied to score 10 unanswered goals and held on for a 14-11 win. The loss drops UM-Dearborn to 0-2 on the season as the team prepares for a trip to Missouri over spring break next week.

Devon Callaghan led the Wolverines with four goals and an assist while taking 10 shots. Adam Ranck added two goals and an assist, while Micah Rinke and Justin Brodzik each recorded two goals. Cameron Godin finished with a goal and an assist.

Freshman Dillon Beal finished 14-of-28 at the faceoff x, while recording a team-high nine ground balls for the Wolverines.

SAU was led by Myles Leyden with five goals on 12 shots.

The Wolverines are in action next against Benedictine College (Kan.) in a neutral site game at 3:30 pm Friday in Columbia, Mo.
