GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- The University of Michigan-Dearborn women's basketball team struggled on the road on Wednesday (Jan. 15) night against the Aquinas College Saints. The Saints came out victorious after a 100-53 victory.
The Saints took a commanding 22-9 lead in the first quarter and didn't look back. After leading 50-21 at the half, they outscored the Wolverines 50-32 in the final 20 minutes, resulting in a 47-point loss. India Grissom, Jordan Banks and Lillian Golson combined for 30 of the Wolverines 53 points. Golson and Banks each connected on two triples, while Grissom shot four-of-eight from the floor to finish with 10 points. Banks led the Wolverines with five rebounds and a pair of blocks.
The Wolverines are back in action on Saturday (Jan. 18) on the road against crosstown rival Lawrence Tech. Tip-off is set for 1 pm.
