Wolverines Drop Road Matchup Against Goshen

GOSHEN, Ind. --  The University of Michigan-Dearborn women's basketball team faced a challenging outcome against Goshen on Friday (Nov 1). The Wolverines lost 116-63 against the Maple Leafs on a night plagued by shooting woes.

The highlights for UM-Dearborn included Marissa Thomas, who demonstrated a strong performance with 18 points, shooting four of seven from the field and an impressive nine for nine from the free-throw line. Sydney Dixon also contributed with 13 points, while Jordan Banks added 10 points to the team's efforts. However, the team struggled with overall shooting, completing only 25.8% of their field goals and 29.2% from three-point range.

On the other hand, Goshen put forth a dominant display, shooting 55.7% from the field. This was highlighted by Zion Neat, who led all scorers with an impressive 25 points. Paula Ferrer Nolla also stood out with 25 points and 10 rebounds, while Kyla Foster added 10 points and seven rebounds. Goshen's depth and efficiency were evident, as they consistently found ways to score, piling up a substantial advantage in total points and rebounds.
