DEARBORN, Mich. -- The University of Michigan-Dearborn women's basketball team endured a tough defeat at the hands of Siena Heights on Saturday, Nov. 23, falling 88-45 in a one-sided affair at the Fieldhouse in Dearborn, Mich.

The Wolverines (0-7) struggled from the start, as they were held to just nine points in the first quarter, with Siena Heights jumping out to an early 31-9 lead. The Saints (3-4) displayed an explosive offense, shooting a blistering 51.7% from the field and 55% from beyond the arc, dominating the game.

The first quarter was a challenging one for the Wolverines. Despite some early opportunities, UM-Dearborn managed only four field goals, three of which came from Bailey Stimac. Siena Heights, meanwhile, found its rhythm early, led by the hot shooting of E'Anna Won (27 points), who knocked down 10-of-17 shots from the field and was a constant threat throughout the game. The Saints built a commanding 31-9 lead by the end of the first quarter.

The second quarter didn't offer much improvement for the Wolverines, who scored just three points. The Saints' defense clamped down, forcing UM-Dearborn into difficult shot attempts while continuing to find success on the offensive end. Siena Heights extended its lead to 48-12 at halftime, with Won continuing to lead the charge. The Saints finished the first half shooting an impressive 55% from the field, including 5-of-9 from three-point range.

Although the game seemed out of reach by halftime, the Wolverines showed resilience after the break. UM-Dearborn found some offensive rhythm, particularly in the third quarter, where they scored 17 points—more than in the first two quarters combined. Marissa Thomas and Sydney Dixon each contributed to the Wolverines' improved offensive output, with Thomas finishing as the team's leading scorer with 10 points.

However, the Saints continued their dominance. Siena Heights scored 27 points in the final quarter, led by Madison Vice (18 points) and Brooke Rebman (14 points), to finish with an 88-45 victory.

Siena Heights shot 51.7% from the field, including a stellar 55% from three-point range, hitting 11 of their 20 attempts. The Wolverines struggled to find their shot, shooting just 27.1% from the floor and 18.2% from deep, converting only 4 of 22 attempts from beyond the arc.

For Michigan-Dearborn, Marissa Thomas led the way with 10 points, while Bailey Stimac added eight points and four rebounds. Sydney Dixon had six points and four assists but struggled with her shooting, making only 3 of 7 attempts.
