Petz named to WHAC Newcomer Team

DEARBORN, Mich. – The University of Michigan-Dearborn men's soccer team continued to pick up postseason awards following the conclusion of the regular season last weekend, with Brendan Petz leading the way with a Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference All-Newcomer Team honor, it was announced Friday.

Petz is the third Wolverine to win the award over the last three seasons, joining teammate Jack Barnett (2018) and former UM-Dearborn student-athlete Joseph Georgic (2017).  Petz has played in 14 games this season for the Wolverines, starting 11, with three goals and a team-high five assists.

UM-Dearborn enters the WHAC Postseason Tournament as the No. 8 seed and will travel to No. 1 seed Indiana Tech for the first round at noon Saturday in Fort Wayne, Ind.
