Crusaders stifle Wolverine offense in WHAC DH

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – The University of Michigan-Dearborn softball team dropped a home doubleheader to Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference foe Madonna University Friday at Alumni Field in Ann Arbor, Mich.

The Crusaders kept the Wolverine offense off balance in both games, with Madonna pitcher Madisen Henry completing a no-hitter in game one. The Crusaders won both games 9-0 to drop UM-Dearborn to 15-14-1 overall and 5-8-1 in the WHAC.

Henry allowed four walks and struck out nine Wolverines in the opener. Ashlynn Henderson took the loss on the mound for UM-Dearborn, allowing six runs on eight hits, while walking two.

Sarah Prashad collected the lone two Wolverine hits in game two. Madelin Skene took the loss in game two, allowing seven runs on five hits, while walking one.

The Wolverines return to action against Cornerstone University on Senior Day at 1 pm Saturday at Alumni Field. UM-Dearborn seniors Julie St. John, Prashad, Rachel Clem and Leah Oldham will be honored in a ceremony immediately after game one.
