The Crusaders took the match in three sets, with set scores of 25-13, 25-18, 25-12. The loss drops UM-Dearborn to 9-14 overall and 1-11 in the WHAC.
Shayla Smalls (SR/Canton, MI) led the Wolverine offense with 11 kills, while Erin Parrinello (JR/Westland, MI) added six. Gina Giacomini (FR/Plymouth, MI) and Katherine Nealy (JR/Southfield, MI) each had four kills. Sabrina Giacomini (FR/Plymouth, MI) finished with a team-high 12 assists and Daniella Barile (SO/Plymouth, MI) added 10.
Heather Roberts (JR/Flint, MI) led the UM-Dearborn defense with 12 digs, as Samantha Nash (FR/Roseburg, OR) recorded nine.
Madonna was led by 16 kills from Karlie Kelly, while reigning WHAC Offensive Player of the Week Amanda Hawkins added 12. Lauren Korth had a match-high 39 assists.
The Wolverines return home for the final two matches of the regular season, starting with the University of Northwestern Ohio at 3 pm Saturday at the UM-Dearborn Fieldhouse.
