Saints edge Wolverines 1-0 in Adrian

ADRIAN, Mich. – The University of Michigan-Dearborn women's soccer team fell to Siena Heights University in a Wolverines-Hoosier Athletic Conference matchup Wednesday in Adrian, Mich.

Despite a strong defensive effort led by goalkeeper Jordan Anheuser, the Wolverines fell to the Saints 1-0. The loss drops UM-Dearborn to 1-7-0 overall and 0-4-0 in the WHAC.

Anheuser surrendered the game's lone goal to SHU's Ashley Strong in the 20th minute but made 10 saves in the game to keep the Wolverines in contention throughout.

Melanie Skamiera and Gabriella Teems each finished with two shots for UM-Dearborn, but the Wolverines were unable to capitalize on their scoring chances, as the team was outshot 19-7.

UM-Dearborn returns to action against Concordia University at noon Saturday in Ann Arbor, Mich.
