Anheuser with 15 saves in 2-0 loss at Adrian

ADRIAN, Mich. – The University of Michigan-Dearborn women's soccer team concluded the nonconference portion of the 2019 schedule against Adrian College Saturday in Adrian, Mich.

The Wolverines were outshot 31-3, but junior goalkeeper Jordan Anheuser kept UM-Dearborn in the contest throughout with a season-high in saves. The Bulldogs were able to find the net once in each half and escaped with a 2-0 win.

The loss drops UM-Dearborn to 1-3-0 overall as the team prepares to enter Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference play next week.

Caroline Fleming got the first goal of the game for Adrian in the 27th minute, while Eve Davis added an insurance tally in the 61st.

Anheuser made 15 saves in the loss, her largest total in 2019. Katherine Costello recorded the lone shot on net for UM-Dearborn.

The Wolverines open the WHAC season against Lourdes University at noon next Saturday in Sylvania, Ohio.
