Wolverines Clinch No. 1 Seed in CCWHA Tournament

DEARBORN, Mich. – With their 5-3 win over No.. 6 University of Michigan. The No. 7 University of Michigan-Dearborn women's ice hockey team clinches the No. 1 overall seed in next weekend's CCWHA conference tournament in Burton, Mich. 

Five different Wolverines scored goals in the contest. Madison Schroeder and Taylor Spence each tallied two points, tallying a goal and an assist. UM-Dearborn outshot their opponent 29-21, with Kenna Borso stopping 18 of the 21 shots she faced.

Zoe Zaifman, Schroeder, Finnia O'Neill Di Mascio, Spence, and Ashley Savage all tallied goals. Samantha Sensoli, Andi Evers, Cadence Pero, and Paige Finlay added points. 

With the one seed, the Wolverines secure a bye into the semifinals, where they will await their first opponent. The one-seed marks the first time in program history that UM-Dearborn secured the top seed in the CCWHA conference tournament.
