Lacrosse Falls To Oakland University

Rochester, MI- Michigan Dearborn's Men's Lacrosse team traveled to Oakland University this past weekend seeking out a conference win. After four quarters of play the Wolverines fell a few points short of defeating the Grizzly's.

Based on goals throughout all four quarters it seemed as though the teams flipped a coin to see who was going to lead each quarter. Oakland jumped on top right away putting the Wolverines down by 3. In the next quarter, Michigan tied up the game with three goals but also gave up 2 more goals. The Grizzly's shut the Wolverines down by scoring 5 goals and blocking the five shots that the Wolverines got at the net. In the final quarter Michigan put four shots on the net and scored on every single one of them. The Wolverines ran out of time and took the 8-12 Loss against Oakland University.

As a team the Wolverines were able to get 20 shots at the net and were successful on 8 of them. Matthew Rosteck led Michigan with 4 goals while 4 others also contributed goals for the Wolverines. David Stephanoff the goalie let 12 threw but also saved 10 other shots.

The men's Lacrosse team is now 5-3 overall and 0-2 in the league.

Lacrosse will be traveling to Aquinas College this Sunday, April 12 to compete at 2:00pm.
