Lourdes rallies to top UM-Dearborn 77-74

DEARBORN, Mich. – Lourdes University rallied back to top the University of Michigan-Dearborn men's basketball team in the final minutes of a Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference matchup Saturday at the UM-Dearborn Fieldhouse.

The Wolverines led by nine with 13 minutes to play, but the Gray Wolves chipped away at the deficit down the stretch and took their first lead of the second half with just under six to go.

A 3-pointer from Desmond Frazier gave Lourdes a 67-63 lead in the final two minutes. The Gray Wolves withstood a pair of late threes from the Wolverines to hold on for a 77-74 win. The loss drops UM-Dearborn to 8-16 overall and 6-9 in the WHAC.

The Wolverines move into a tie with Rochester College for seventh place in the WHAC with five games remaining in the conference season. The top eight teams in the standings will play in the league's postseason tournament, which was won by UM-Dearborn last season.

Zach Lattimer had a career game, as he hit eight 3-pointers and finished with a game-high 27 points, both career bests. Jason Gigliotti just missed a double-double with 18 points and nine rebounds, while Jalen Paul added 12 points and eight assists.

The Wolverines shot 28-of-59 from the field, 13-of-28 from deep and 5-of-7 from the line.

Lourdes was led by Clif Snow with 25 points and eight rebounds, while Kadeim Jones finished with 24 points and eight rebounds.

The Wolverines host Lawrence Tech in crucial WHAC matchup at 7:30 pm Wednesday at the UM-Dearborn Fieldhouse.
