ANN Arbor, Mich. -- The University of Michigan-Dearborn women's soccer team earned its first victory of the season on Wednesday (Sept. 18). The win over the Concordia Cardinals improves the Wolverines' record to 1-0-0 in conference.
The two teams traded goals through the first 65 minutes of the contest. Rena Arabi secured a hat-trick as she scored her third goal on an unassisted goal in the 72nd minute. Now leading 3-2, the Wolverines scored three unanswered goals in the final 15 minutes to take a 6-2 victory. Juju Kleit scored in the 76th minute off the Nadia Saab assist. Two minutes later, Emmi Pinkowski scored her first goal of the game, and Rena Arabi secured her fourth point by assisting Pinkowski with her goal. Kleit scored the game's final goal in the 82nd minute as she made herself available, and Emmi Pinkowski found her for the insurance goal.
