OLIVET, Mich. – The University of Michigan-Dearborn women's soccer team stumbled in a non-conference matchup against Olivet University on Sunday (Sept. 1). The Comets dropped the Wolverines 2-0, bringing UM-Dearborns record to 0-3-1.
The Comets scored both goals in the first half. The Wolverines created scoring chances, putting four shots on goal, but they could not produce anything in the opening 45. The Wolverines made a switch in net for the second half, tasking Isabelle Shaw with stopping the Comets from adding insurance.
The Wolverines again struggled to score, putting five shots on goal in the second half and again being denied. Despite holding Olviet scoreless in the second half, the Wolverines still dropped points, falling 2-0.
