Five Wolverines Named CSC Academic All-District

DEARBORN, Mich. -- Five University of Michigan-Dearborn soccer student-athletes were named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District team. The association announced on Tuesday (Nov. 19). These five student-athletes were recognized among the nation's top student-athletes across the NCAA and NAIA. 

Student-athletes must be sophomores or above and have a 3.5 cumulative grade point average. They must also compete in 90 percent of the institution's matches or start in at least 66 percent of the institution's matches. 

Mohammedbakker Ibrahim, Nicholas Pulcini and Andrew Schwartz were named Academic All-District on the men's soccer team. Dalya Dakroud and Morgan Faryniarz were featured on the women's soccer Academic All-District team. 

Ibrahim, a Biological Sciences major, played in 16 matches with eight starts during his junior season. Ibrahim scored in a 5-1 victory over Defiance College on Oct. 12. 

Pulcini, a Finance major,  started all 16 games he appeared in this season and anchored a Wolverine backline. The Clinton Township native captained the Wolverines and helped the team keep two clean sheets. 

Schwartz, a senior from Plymouth, Mich., started 14 of the 15 games he played. From his midfield position, Schwartz led the men's team in goals (7) and points (17). Schwartz carries a 3.95 GPA in Cybersecurity & Information Assurance. 

Dalya Dakroub was one of two Wolverines on the women's soccer All-District Team. Dakroub, a Health & Human Services major, started all 15 games she appeared in this season. 

Faryniarz, a Health & Human Services major, started all 18 games this season as an outside back for the Wolverines.
