Tasker's Masterful Performance Leads Wolverines to 1-1 Draw

GOSHEN, Ind. – Freshman goalkeeper Julia Tasker put together one of the best performances by a freshman in the University of Michigan-Dearborn women's soccer history. Tasker snagged 15 saves in a 1-1 draw against Goshen on Wednesday (Sept. 11) at the Ingold Complex.

The Wolverines took the lead in the first half after Isabella Iacobacci found Rena Arabi in the 36th minute. The goal was Arabi's first of the season. In the waning minutes of the first half, the Maple Leafs would beat Tasker for their only goal of the contest. Tasker made six saves in the opening 45 to keep the Wolverines deadlocked at one.

Despite the two teams combining for 18 shots in the second half, neither team could find the back of the net, thanks in part to Tasker's nine saves.

The Wolverines are back in action Wednesday (Sept. 18) as they take on Concordia.
