CANTON, Mich. -- The University of Michigan-Dearborn bowling teams participated in the first American Heartland Bowling Association Tournament of the year on Saturday (Oct. 26). Both the men's and women's teams took 11th overall. Madison Shelton had the highest individual finish as she took 15th in the women's competition.
In the women's competition, Shelton had a single-game high of 215 in her fourth game, which gave her a total of 1062. Lily Adams and Alexandra Dasuqi finished four pins apart in 23rd and 24th, respectively. Adams finished with a high of 192 in her second game to have a six-game total of 1024. Dasuqi had a high of 219 to knock down 1020 pins. Juanita Higgins finished in 39th, while Mackenzie Shelton rounded out the Wolverines day with a 46th place finish.
In the men's competition, Nathan Roberts was the top individual, finishing in 20th place. Roberts had a high of 231 to finish with a total of 1208. Avery North was 47th with a total of 935, while Tommy Bain took 52nd with 880 in five games. Connor Hagerman, Tyler Kiroski, and Joshua Schunemann rounded out the Wolverines' day with 62nd, 73rd, and 79th place finishes.
