GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- The University of Michigan-Dearborn bowling teams wrapped up a solid day at The Nelson on Saturday (Oct. 19). The men's team took fifth out of 11 teams, and the women's team took seventh.
In the men's competition, Nathan Roberts took seventh place after a 267 in his final game, finishing with a 639 total. Joey DeVita finished just outside of the top-10 as he took home 14th place. DeVita got off to a slow start but dropped 277 pins in his final game to finish with a 598. Connor Hagermann took home 39th after finishing with a 498. Kejuan Matthews and Kyle Larsen bowled just two games but finished 69th and 77th, respectively.
In the women's competition, Juanita Higgins bowled a 216 in her first game to pave the way to a top-10 finish as she took ninth overall. Madison Shelton finished in 21st as she knocked down 482 pins. Lily Adams took 32nd, finishing with 453 pins. Katrina McKay, Mackenzie Shelton, and Alexandra Dasuqi rounded out the Wolverine's day, taking 52nd, 56th and 57th, respectively.
