DEARBORN, Mich. -- University of Michigan-Dearborn men's bowler Avery North was named Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Men's Bowler of the Week. The league announced on Monday (Feb. 10).

North rolled a 698 in a three-game series to a second-place finish at the Scotty Classic on Saturday (Feb. 8). The Ypsilanti native helped the men's bowling team secure their first team victory in program history after edging out Spring Arbor by 22 pins in the 14 team event. This marks the second time a men's bowler has won WHAC Bowler of the Week this season after Tommy Bain earned the award back in November.
