LIVONIA, Mich. -- The University of Michigan-Dearborn baseball team struggled on the mound on Friday (Mar. 21) against Madonna University. The Wolverines surrendered 46 runs in a pair of losses. Despite the losses, the Wolverines' bats erupted for 13 runs in game two. Four Wolverines recorded multiple RBIs, including three from Dominic Palamara and Carter Stephenson.
In game two, the Wolverines led 6-5 after the top of the second, thanks to a pair of extra-base hits from Max Granatstein and Gavin Hampton. The opposition erupted for six runs of their own in the bottom of the third to reclaim the lead. Trailing 18-7 in the sixth, Beck Kjeldbjerg and Tyler Allos each tallied RBIs to make it 18-9. The Wolverines would score four more runs in the top of the seventh, but it would be too little too late as the Crusaders won 23-13.
